I don't see why wins should be in the mix. Clemens had 13 wins last year. If Schmidt is in the top 4 for K's and ERA then he should be in the final 3 for voting.

I wish W's weren't a factor but the voters have shown over and over that it is a big factor in their minds. And eftda, Clemens didn't win the Cy Young last year. Why would you use him of an example, when the reason he didn't win was the lack of W's?

I think he has to be in the conversation, but I don't think he's the winner. I'd say Carlos Zambrano should win it.

I'm going with Smoltz. He would of had a lot more wins on his record if it wasn't for the Braves' pathetic bullpen that lost the games.
