Can't believe how short this thread is.
What an entrance.

there are a million other threads on this site about delmon young
Thanks. Except: typically the best prospect in baseball, when finally called up, despite much speculation that he wouldn't this year, in spite of the hundreds of threads already spun and cached in the vast dark corners of the cafe, well,
that player creates a huge spash on the day of his majorleague inauguration and a new thread is created, infinite in length, and full of "he's up!" and "Delmon Young homered!" and "Homerun!" and ";-D " and "

" and "

".
And "What an entrance."
Don't take me too seriously. I figure it just means football season started.

As a White Sox fan and baseball purist I love the fact that Garcia nailed Young on the first pitch.....something tells me that the umpire was smiling behind his mask when that happened.
As a Delmon Young owner, I love the fact that he went 2/3 with a dinger in a losing effort!
Wow, what a crazy game that was last night! If we can't take 5 out of 6 against the D'Rays and the Royals we have no bizzness being in the playoffs anyway.

As a baseball fan and a baseball purist I hate the fact that Garcia took a shot at Young. It was a bushleague cheap shot play-no room in mlb for that crap. The good that can come out of it is that it may rally the Rays around the kid.

You should have known he was going to get hit, I'm pretty sure he and his teammates knew it. Beaning people is part of the game from high school up. If you never made it that far your commits are understandable.
