What is wrong with Ichiro?

Is he hurt or something? He has been horrible, Im thinking of benching him for Taveras, while hes on his hot streak.

9 R, 0 HR, 2 RBI, 1 SB, .216 AVG.

Hes killing me, is he gonna break out of this or what. Hes one of my keepers (this slump is making me question that).

that theory doesn't make much sense considering the stats he has put up in the past on a Mariners team that has been out of it much earlier in seasons past

I know you don't want to hear this but it just looks like a bit of bad luck and a bit of a slump. He's struck out 13 times in the month which is right in line with his other months (11, 14, 9 and 9). I don't have monthly gb%/fb%/ld% numbers but the strikeouts (or lack thereof) show that he's making contact...he's just not having the ball drop in for hits. A Seattle fan might be able to give you a more in depth analysis of how he's looked at the plate but the stats show nothing more than bad luck and maybe a slight lack of authority. While Ichiro isn't a home run hitter his 0 home runs since the ASB might point to a little less power in his swing.

yeah, he's killing my BA and SBs, which may lose me my league. i keep waiting for that 4 or 5 hit night, but recently it's been 0/4, 0/5, 1/5. hetakuso!
