He started out pretty good, but has fizzled out lately. Any particular reason why? The Redsox not doing very well as a whole can't help, but over the last month his ERA is 7.66. Any reason to believe he can turn it around?

He is better than a 7.66 ERA but he isn't a #1 or #2 type pitcher. He doesn't have a single dominate pitch.... though I guess he can hit 94 or so with his 4 seamer but the couple games I've saw him pitch he never threw it. I'd say he is a #3 or #4 on a good team with around 4.00-4.50 ERA and around 1.25-1.35 WHIP.

I think he is a little overrated, especially pitching in the AL East.

I am not a stat geek but i am a Sox fan. It seems like he doesn't get many short innings and that he doesn't have an out pitch. I am a fan of his and we need a lefty but he's not a Glavine type or an RJ type. He is somewhere in between and quite frankly doesn't scare any one. Maybe he misses Varitek i don't know.
