At different points this year I have dropped rookie phenoms Verlander, Harang and Billingsley when they hit rough stretches and passed on Liriano. To my credit, I did pick up Jered Weaver and Hamels.

Nevertheless, I think about what could have been had I held onto Verlander and Liriano.

the worst trade, was a trade I passed on:

I would give D. Lee, Isringhasuen and Jer. Weaver for J. Dye and Verlander.

This was right before D.Lee went on the DL for the second time.

I really could have used J. Dye at OF, because then I could start dye, crawford and guerrero at OF and move Soriano to 2B (i have cano there now). Plus, I played that team this week and Dye killed my team in HR's.

Dropped Hanley Ramirez and Corey Patterson early in the year...

Also traded Verlander for John Patterson, just as Patterson was set to come off the DL.

Traded Kazmir and Taveras for Ensberg, very early in the year.

I traded Carlos Lee for Scott Kazmir.

In a keeper league, that's not SO bad.

In a keeper this is a push. Lee hasn't done much since being traded. Kazmir has the talent to run at a CY in the future.

I traded Pedro back in his heyday for a Rockie. I can't say who, it's that bad. My team was cruising in 1st. It started to fall after that deal. I forget if i ended up winning, or finishing 2nd, but i always remember that bonehead move. You trade enough, you will make a bad deal. You trust yourself, that you will be better off in 75% of the deals.

after a slow april, i traded crawford and maggs for sexson and gonzo. that was horrible trade, but my logic was sacrificing 1 cat. to gain points in 2 cats (SB for HR/RBI). i was hurting for 1B cuz helton was on the DL with some stomach problems.

in that same league, i picked up morneau after someone dropped early in the season. i had 2 first basemen, (sexson & helton) and kept those two instead of keeping morneau. big mistake, and i ended up dropping helton because he wasnt cutting it.

after only drafting 1 closer for some reason, i dropped isringausen accidentally when i meant to click linebrink. I than went throught a spell where i had danys baez as my only closer due to lack of FA closers.

Fortunately, i am now in good shape with Putz and Borowski.
