Webb over Carpenter, Dodger? Why? Carpenter beats him in every standard fantasy category this year with the exception of wins (the difference is one), and Carpenter has been doing this for a lot longer than Webb (2 great years before 2006). I'll take the sure thing, I just don't think Webb can match these numbers next year, and he'd have to do that to likely match Carp in fantasy production.

Like I said, I'll be the oddball with Webb over Carpenter. That doesn't mean I rank Webb 5-10 spots over Carpenter. That would be a gross overstatement to say I'd take Webb over Carp by a dramatic margin when I'd rank them close to one another. I'll be the eccentric and prefer Webb over Carpenter. Webb is a few years younger and if you throw away his last awful outings, the guy is a stud when that sinker is working. Carpenter has more of a track record than Webb, but I think Webb is ready for the next level, and thus, I'd prefer him, not by a moderate margin, but by a slimmer margin. So, actually, I'd rank Webb, Halladay, and Carpenter after Carlos Lee, Bobby Abreu, or Matt Holliday on Moose's list.
