these would be the rosters IMO, i think havoc missed this one
AL East -
C - Ramon Hernandez
1B - Jason Giambi
2B - Robinson Cano
3B - Alex Rodriguez
SS - Miguel Tejada (maybe DJ, completely diff players)
LF - Manny Ramirez
CF - Vernon Wells
RF - Carl Crawford (need a leadoff hitter, im sure he could play right)
DH - David Ortiz
SP - Roy Halladay, Curt Schilling, Mike Mussina, Scott Kazmir, Chien Ming Wang
RP - BJ Ryan, Jonathan Papelbon, Mariano Rivera (along with various other middle relief)
AL Central -
C - Joe Mauer
1B - Justin Morneu
2B - Taduhito Iguchi
3B - Joe Crede
SS - Carlos Guillen
LF - Magglio Ordonez
CF - Grady Sizemore
RF - Jermaine Dye
DH - Travis Hafner or Jim Thome, too close to call
SP - Johan Santana, Fransico Liriano, Jose Contreras, C.C. Sabathia, Justin Verlander
RP - Joel Zumaya, Joe Nathan, Bobby Jenks (among other inning eaters)
i still think AL...FAR superior offense, SP is about even and RP is better.

Okay, who wins????
I don't know anything about you, but I'm assuming you must be a BoSox fan. Anyone in their right mind would know that Rivera would be the closer, and Beckett (who kinda sucks) would not be the #3 SP.
And the East would win, that lineup would be too ridiculous. I think you can add Hideki Matsui to that lineup (who is almost healthy), when you have Kazmir in there, who is on the DL.
Actually I'm not a Red Sox fan or a Yankee fan. Sorry you're Yankee love blinds you from reality. I'm just going strickly by this year's numbers. Matsui and Shef have barely played this year and would not be on any All-Star team. Liriano is in the same boat that Kazmir is but both have great numbers this year. I'll repeat, Pap has had a better year as closer than Rivera has. Rivera is obviously the better player so far but an All-Star team goes by yearly stats and Pap beats all other closers.
So if you are going by this year's numbers, why in the world would you include Josh Beckett??
He's been terrible this year.
Well who is a better starter than Beckett in the East that hasn't already been included? Johnson? Wang? Lilly? Bedard? Slim pickings if you ask me.
Johnson Wang and Bedard are all better than Beckett.

Well, considering every All-Star game has to include at least 1 player from every team. This time I think KC's Teahen actually deserves to play.
