I finally got a decent starting pitcher now they plan on shutting him down for the rest of the year because he has pitched to many innings. It has been that type of year

Sowers threw 159 innings last year. The plan appears to be to limit him to about 180, meaning he might make just two more starts. Fausto Carmona is returning to Triple-A to work as a starter, and he'll take Sowers' place in the rotation next month.

Why would they do that? If they're worried about him pitching too many innings, just have him pitch about 4 innings instead of the full 9 like he has done a few times this year. He was pretty much the ace of my team this year. :~(
