I've heard this from more than a few people. Of course, it's the first UFC I've missed in probably the last seven.

Yeah me too. Well I watched some of it online but it's an awful way to watch, I don't think I'll be doing that again.
Add me to that list, 116 was definitely the best PPV this year and one of the best of all time.
Lesnar proved why he is the champ, he not only showed the heart of a champion, but also showed he continues to improve a s a fighter and not just rely on his strength and size. I doubt anyone here had him winning by sub
He still needs to work on his striking, but giving the way he has progressed, I'm sure he will be ready for Cain, who may not be as powerful as Carwin, he is more technical and has cardio for days.
Akiyama had Leben hurt, but for some reason his cardio (as with the Belcher fight) wasn't there (that;s the one thing he needed to work on and he didn't, go figure...). Got to give credit to Leben, he took punch after punch and was still standing, hell both guys did, I had Akiyama wining the fight, but it was very, very close.
Bonnar did what Bonnar does. He gets a lot of hate for some reason, but he is always fun to watch. One of the most underrated fighters in the UFC.
Lytle had a good win over Brown, if he could just stop trying to stand and "bang" all the time he would be so much better. If you had ask me who had a better chance at winning SOTN, Lesnar or Lytle, I would have said Lytle hands down, and I think that's one of the reasons why Lesnar got it. Lytle's sub was awesome, but given the circumstances and the importance of the fight, I have no problem with Lesnar getting the award.
Sotiropoulos was good again. I hope he gets a tougher test next time, someone like the loser of Maynard/Florian would be fun.
