it sure would be interesting to see GSP challenge himself at some point.

I'm thinking he will have to beat 2 of the following(for simplicity lets assume Machida will still be the champ till then)
Rua, Rampage, Lil Nog, Thiago, Forest and Cane. I want to add Rashad(and for that matter Jardine), but since they train with Greg Jackson, that's not likely to happen.
I don't think they'll have Couture, Liddell or Franklin face him, but they could be in the mix as well.
In order to keep himself going, he needs to fight relevant 205ers. Whatever happens, I hope his next fight is in Boston when it comes here this summer
UFC's Thiago "Pitbull" Alves will not fight at Saturday's UFC 111, because a CAT Scan shows an irregularity in his brain ... TMZ has learned.
Thiago was scheduled to rumble with Jon Fitch on Saturday -- but a pre-fight CAT Scan revealed an irregularity -- a source close to 26-year-old Pitbull tells TMZ the irregularity involves an artery in the brain.
UFC honcho Dana White tells TMZ he will fly Pitbull to a specialist for further evaluation. White says, "If it's true, it can be career-ending."
No one will replace Pitbull on Saturday. The headliner is Georges St- Pierre -- ironically, the fighter who solidly beat Thiago in his last fight last July.
Terrible news, I was really looking forward to this fight. Lets hope is nothing serious and that Alves can fight again.
Despite information in the original report the states otherwise, MMAmania.com has learned that UFC officials are currently searching for a replacement on the east coast who is licensed in New Jersey; however, the possibilities are slim due to the timing and strict licensing requirements in the "Garden State."
Still, Fitch has been instructed to maintain his current weight -- though the former collegiate wrestling standout has offered to move up to Middleweight (185-pounds) if it increases the promotion's chances of finding a suitable opponent.
Stay tuned for more on this breaking news in a bit.

Fitch just announce that he will fight Saunders instead. Not bad a fight considering Saunders look rather impressive in his last fight vs Davis. Actually i could see Ben getting the upset.
Know whats funny? The first time I read that headline I thought it said "Brian Irregularity Sidelines UFC Fighter Thiago Alves." I was like... "Who the hell is Brian Irregularity? And why was Thiago fighting him so close to his Fitch fight?"

So Fitch is bumping up? Should be a decent challenge...

GSP should have no trouble with Hardy, and unless Hardy pulls a Serra, GSP wins, easily.
I hope Carwin wins, I want to see Lesnar fight someone other than Mir for a change.
I read that Fitch wanted to "finish" fights, if that's the case, I see Saunders winning, cause his stand up is better, but in typical Fitch fashion, he will probably get the TD and get yet another UD.
