Not sure about fishy. They wouldn't rig a fight for Kimbo to lose. Kimbo is EliteXC's cash cow. Anyway, looking at the replay right now and the "jab" lands squarely on the jaw. Then he is defenseless when he takes the shot to the mat. That is a legitimate MMA TKO and definitely not a "work" IMHO.

yeah i know it wasnt set up, just seemed weird.

the first punch definitely knocked him out. the other punches didnt matter.

i understand he landed the punch square on his jaw but he had his foot in the air! how much power can he generate if one foot is in the air and he's leaning backward?! he definitely should be able to take that shot.

Kimbo fight was under investigation by Florida athletic commission. Now EliteXC goes out of business. They were reportedly hurting financially so it may just be coincidence.

UFC just signed Denis Kang for the MW division. This is pretty sweet. One of the best MWs in the world arguably, 2nd best Canadian fighter (to GSP of course) and he's basically a complete unknown in Canada and U.S.
