Amazinz wrote:I was impressed with Jesse's cardio and he stayed active. GnP looked good inside the guard. I was not impressed with his control and takedowns. Tim's BJJ was pretty bad for a a BJJ guy. Ridiculous how he lost superior position twice. So maybe you'll end up being right that it should have been C.B. and Amir finale. What the heck happens next week? Did anyone catch what actually happened?

JT Money :-b

He's funny but he really doesn't look like he's going to make much of UFC fighter. If anyone has any take down defence he's got nothing to do.

The previews of the CB/Amir fight look awesome. Amir gets body slammed and CB gets knocked down with a head kick. Can't wait.

Dream 4 was decent early, early, early this morning. Sad to see a legend like Saku get beat up like that though :,-(

Very sweet that HDNet is televising the Japanese events live now. I still don't have the channel. One of these days soon I will buy a HDTV and then upgrade my package. Until then I have to resort to torrents. Going to check it out tonight.

That was incredible. That really should have been the finale. A couple more weeks of CB getting overconfident and arrogant would have made his defeat even sweeter.

Can JT punch out Amir? It doesn't look like it.

Heh. I'm confused. Did you watch the whole thing? CB vs. Amir is the finale. All in all CB was unimpressive. These guys always show up more polished for the finale so should be an incredible finale.

Whoops. Looks like a spoke too soon :-b

That JT, what a card.

Rooting for Amir. The kid reminds me of Karo Parisyan. Having won the first fight and not being the underdog and also giving CB so much time to prepare for him, and preparing with a good home team not with that dummy Rampage, I think that we are going to see a better and more prepared CB. Doesn't look good for Amir in the finals but it does promise to be the best finals since Forrest and Bonnar.

I don't know about the Amir/Karo comparison, personality or stylistically, but I'm rooting for Amir too.

Wasn't there supposed to be some big news handed down this week (I think today actually)?

Yeah, yesterday they announced that Lorenzo Fertitta was joining the UFC full time as CEO. He left a job at Station Casino that paid him $100M+ in salary last year. That really puts thing in perspective of how fast the UFC is growing. However, I think rather anti-climatic considering all the hype. :-D
