they should have showed the Henderson/Guida fight. That was an exciting fight that would have made fans out of casual observers.

Although Guida seems to be a little more conservative lately than in a couple of years ago, his fight against Henderson was almost guaranteed to be a good show. The Guida-Sanchez fight two years ago was one of the most exciting fight I can remember.

The UFC is still going to be on FOX next year, so I don't think it will make much of a difference that there was only 60 secs of fighting. I think they gambled a little bit because JDS is a knockout artist and the knockout itself wasn't all that impressive. If this were a Dan Henderson-Bisping type of KO, I think there would have been a few more positive reviews from the show.

If anyone watches the post-fight conference, you can clearly see Dana White upset. He did toned it down latter in the conference, but he didn't help matters.

Machita looked on his feet vs Jones. He ever caught him with a nice shot. Once Bones gets that clinch though .... you're done.

Fight of the night was Mir's win over big Nog. Excellent work by Mir. That finish was ugly though.

Machida looked in control until jones took him to the ground, that forehead was ugly and that neck crank hurt. I showed my wife, look here is his shoulder and here is his head and watch when he let's go.

Nog should have kept hammering. Not sure why he went to wrestling unless he was gassed - he could've been - but he gave Mir a chance to recover.

I will give a mulligan on this one to Mark Hominick because of the loss of Shawn Tompkins. But he went in with the wrong gameplan. Why in the world would you want to brawl with the Zombie?
