Not for me. I need more proof, especially from a 1B, to make him my 1st rounder. There's still time and, if I had the 12th and 13th picks B2B I might think about it, but I can't see it.

This rings true for me and I think Dye, because he plays for the White Sox, may get more votes as well. Papi will win, followed by Jeter, Manny, Hafner, etc. Not how I would call it, but the 'P' in MVP doesn't stand for player anymore. I believe it stands for paycheck now.
Don't rule out Mauer. I know his stats arn't as eye popping (although leading the league in BA as a catcher, probably should qualify as eye popping), but man he's meant a ton to this team as far as pitching and keeping the steals down. His snags of pitches in the dirt in the late innings of the big FRI/SAT games were huge.

Sure, the Yankees are in first, and naturally, you look for an MVP, but Jeter just isn't an MVP in any way. Take him out of that lineup, and there's a damn good chance the Yankees are still in first.
You obviously haven't watched a lot of Yankee games to say that.
I was going to say the same thing. I don't think we'd be in first place right now if it weren't for Jeter.

Morneau? I don't think so, unless you're in a very deep league. It's a very deep position and he hasn't done much to seperate himself from Giambi, Konerko, Berkman, and the other upper tier guys.
