radke took himself out of the game said he just couldn't do it...it really is amazing though that he is still pitching with that shoulder...being from minnesota i've read a lot of things about him and from a few different sources i read that he has to use his left hand to do things at home, such as poor milk, because he is in so much pain...also he doesn't throw at all in between starts (he just rests) the only times he ever throws now are for games and for pregame warmups

radke has also said that he doesn't care what happens to him...he knows that this will be his last year and he wants the team to do well and make the playoffs

i love the guy and everything and i think that he will do well down the stretch just because he cares so much...but i don't think it's wise owning someone (in fantasy) that is in the condition he is in...which is why in a league filled with minnesotans (mine) he has been left untouched on the WW all year

he won't shut down for the year or miss another start barring major injury because he knows that this will be his last year and he wants to win very badly...he is willing to sacrifice his body for the good of the team and because of his refusal to have surgery he knows that he has no chance of pitching beyond this year...so this year he will give us everything he has left

That's a pretty cool story. I knew Radke had a torn labrum but I heard on sports show (in Chicago) that he was against surgeries in general. I'm pulling for the Twins this year. Kinda sick of all the Ozzie crap going on. Joe
