i dont see why josh gets no love....he has a little control issue but has been wrangling that in lately and has really solid stuff, as mentioned. you can always fall back on good hit, and this is a big, strong pitcher with the right kind of stuff for someone with his build, i.e. hard heat and a biting sinker. dont see any reason for a sharp decline. im not predicting winning the era title in 07 but i dont know why he would have that era anything over 3.5.

let me see how those 2 has done since my trade June 4th

I'm done with the obsession hybrid :-° If I'll ever lose sleep over a fantasy trade, it could be this one.

I hope

June the 4th

A's send
Josh Johnson(Fla-SP,RP) $300,000(2011)

Giants send
Matt Cain(SF-SP) $300,000(2011)

Before the trade

Cain-5.10ERA
Johnson-2.42ERA

Since
Johnson
7-3 3.16ERA 1.37WHIP 7.91k/9 4.22bb/9 8.12h/9 0.95HR/9
14starts 85.2ip 77hits 30er 40bb 75k

Cain
6-4 3.80ERA 1.33WHIP 9.80k/9 4.80bb/9 7.20h/9 0.60HR/9
15starts 90ip 72hits 38er 48bb 98k

My point is, Johnson has been lucky. Will he implode 5ERA style next year? No. Will he regress to about a high 3 ERA, very likely.
