Hmmm this season seems very interesting. I haven't watched survivor for a couple of years but I'll probably tune in to this one to see what kind of controversy will happen. It'll be actually kind of refreshing to see all the races represented in a reality now. Before it'll usually be a token black guy and a token asian mixed in with 10 other white guys...oh ya and one gay or lesbian.
Survivor did this because it's getting old and repetitive after what like 15 seasons? They're losing ratings but this stunt will definitely lure viewers in to watch. About those challenges, it'll be hilarious if they actually do whatever race against blacks in b-ball or other stereotypes but they won't. Survivor will get flooded with hate mail if they did.

They needed a gimmick and they found one. i don't see how this is at all blatantly offensive, but it does play into the human psyche and how we're all conditioned to believe that we're all created equal. Then again when they do a men vs. women type of competition no one raises and eyebrow; but separate races... what kind of a society is this!
I say if the participants are willing and it's just game (which it is) no harm no foul.
That said, i've never had any interest in Survivor before and I still don't.
