thats not a good trade in my mind even with how well peavy has played. Otsuka is a solid closer with Dunn being a good power source minus average...

I traded jered weaver and freddy sanchez for peavy.....I think thats fair value on either side

Don't know that it's not a "good trade," and that minus average is a BIG minus, I'd rather have the top 5 pitcher, especially if I need pitching. Depends on team needs big time.

Also, never been high on Rob Deer, errr Dunn, i'd rather have a player that can hit 30-33 or so homers and a .290-.300 average than one that can hit 40-43 with a .250 average an 170-190 whiffs. Well especially a league that deducts for whiffs, but he'll nail you in the average category in a h2h league.

But definately not a "bad" trade.

Peavy has always been "there" but suffered through a lot of bad luck. All of his ratios were right around where they usually are, but his HR/9 were out of line.
