3 HR games...

Moderator: Baseball Moderators

Postby ScarletP » Mon Apr 16, 2007 2:58 pm

I read the entire thing last season when it was going strong. I've kind of avoided it this season so far, so I've missed out on a couple of pages. All I remember is something about Jose Reyes and Cole Hamels and Vin Diesel... I still say the 3-HR game is an urban legend. It can't be done.

Man, reading this entire thread in 20 minutes is way more impressive than hitting 3 homers in a game. Even if hitting three homers in a game isn't possible.

i just read through this thread myself, and i was wondering how many cafers have actually read through this thread in, say, 20 minutes, all in one sitting? I mean, i've done it myself, and a couple guys i know, but it can't be very many. I wonder if there's any way to get a list of cafers that have read through this entire thread...I mean, there's me, Kingctb27, maybe Madison...does anyone have a list of others that have accomplished this feat?

You're the reason threads like this always get off-topic. :-t

Now, back to the topic at hand...

haha, see, i knew this would be a rare accomplishment, worth it's own thread...obviously we won't add ScarletP to the list of cafers that have read this thread in 20 minutes...that would be akin to Jose Reyes hitting 3 homeruns in one game.

Alright, read the last few pages. All caught up again. I think we need to start a list.

3 HRs in one game is a big headline no matter who does it...

but it's not as big of a headline as today's 2 BBs in one game for Jeff Francouer

It's people like you that keep getting this thread completely off track. Obviously Francouer could never take 2 walks in one game...it's as ludicrous as a speedy shortstop like Reyes hitting 3 homeruns in a game: Impossible. :-°
I used to think this was a useful site but i guess some people just think its a joke.... :-t

Is this your draft rankings? If so, even if you have someone like Jose Reyes as your #1 (which seems ludicrous, since he has no power, unlike say, someone like Pujols who might someday even have a chance of hitting 3 HR's in the same game), you might want to rank some other people after him. After all, what if you don't get Reyes, or if you have to draft more than one player for your team?

I like to draft Jason Schmidt, personally. So, maybe go with 1. Reyes, 5. Schmidt. And maybe some other people in the middle. :*)
(taps little picture of a microphone)... is this thing on?
