first Jewish Mets right fielder since my boy Art Shamsky ;-D

he won't do much stats wise...but at least he'll bring some outfield depth and also experience (which can hopefully rub off on some of our young players)

I like the deal. It gives DW some much needed protection. Also, AZ gave about half of what is still owed to Green in the next 1+ seasons. It didn't look like Cliff Floyd would be in the Mets' plans next year anyway so he won't be blocking Milledge.

I like the deal. The element of Green's game that most people don't know about is his defense. He still can hit for average and is a good run producer, but no where near what he used to be.

This way, Milledge can play everyday in AAA instead of half the time in MLB.

With Arizona picking up some of his money next year this deal really gives the Mets plenty of options going into the offseason. Good addition IMO and gives their lineup more depth for the post season.

Curious to see what happens with Floyd and Milledge.
