MLB Post Season Awards

Postby BradNike » Mon Sep 08, 2003 8:46 pm

Season is nearing a close, I was just wondering who everyone felt is going to win the award. I don't mean who you want to win the award, but the person who you feel is actually going to get it when it is all said and done.

NL Cy Young - Gagne
AL Cy Young - Halladay

NL MVP - Bonds
AL MVP - ARod

Thanks,
-Brad

Right now it looks like these will win:

AL MVP: Arod
AL CY: Loaiza

NL MVP: Bonds
NL CY: Gagne

There's still time for that to change, but I think those are the frontrunners right now.
Yes doctor, I am sick.
Sick of those who are spineless.
Sick of those who feel self-entitled.
Sick of those who are hypocrites.
Yes doctor, an army is forming.
Yes doctor, there will be a war.
Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

I second that, though I think Pujols is moving up in voters minds since he's now only 1 HR behind Bonds. If it was done today I agree that the voters would probably vote Bonds. I know you are also rooting for Pujols over Bonds. Go Pujols Go ;-D

Please not another Bonds vs Pujols MVP debate! We can never have enough of those, right? :-)

You are correct. I'm rooting for Pujols. :-D The original poster asked who would win right now, not who we want to win, and I think right now Bonds would get the vote.

GO PUJOLS!

If A-Rod didn't win last year I don't see how he can this year ...

If the vote were held today, I think these guys would win:

AL MVP: Nomar Garciaparra
AL CY: Esteban Loaiza

NL MVP: Barry Bonds
NL CY: Eric Gagne

Last year Miggy had good numbers and the big winning streak that carried him. This year, no one has the numbers except Delgado and he's been cold the whole 2nd half.
