This is going to sound dumb, but I have tried about 6 sites and none can give me a clear answer as to where the nearest airport from Lawrence, KS is and what the address of it is so I can mapquest from it. Any help?
Sean Tracey has my apologies, we all know Ozzie Guillen is an idiot. I'm rooting for you!

You can type Lawrence, KS into Mapquest without a specific address...this will just map the city center. Then you can look for nearest airports.
I took the liberty of doing this because I'm bored and I like to help out fellow cafe-ers. The nearest airport is Forbes Field in Topeka, 35 minutes away from Lawrence city center.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

Apparently there is some place called Cedar Airport
Lawrence, KS
End address: Cedar Airport 25900 College Blvd, Olathe, KS 66061
Distance: 23.6 mi (about 31 mins)
I don't think you want to go there... according to AirNav:
Airport use: Open to the public
Sectional chart: KANSAS CITY
Control tower: no
ARTCC: KANSAS CITY CENTER
FSS: COLUMBIA FLIGHT SERVICE STATION [1-866-223-4352]
NOTAMs facility: COU (NOTAM-D service available)
Attendance: UNATNND
Wind indicator: yes
Segmented circle: no
Surface: turf, in good condition
Hmm, an unattended airfield without a tower and a turf runway (good condition or not)... I doubt Delta flies there

Hahaha - now that would make a classic business travel story - "Forget about the inflight movie, you're be lucky if there isn't a scarecrow blocking our decent "

I used to work at a regional airport in Harrisburg that just handled general and corporate aviation; most people don't even know it exists or that almost every small community at least as some kind of airport like this one.
Here are some more stats on Cedar International Airport:
Airport Operational Statistics
Aircraft based on the field: 5
Single engine airplanes: 4
Gliders airplanes: 1
Aircraft operations: avg 63/week
91% local general aviation
9% transient general aviation
Additional Remarks
- 5 FT DROP 30 FT OFF AER 17.
- GOLF COURSE N END OF RY 17 CAN BE MISTAKEN FOR ARPT.
- WILDLIFE ON & INVOF ARPT.
- TREES BOTH SIDES OF RWY.
Basically, the airport holds 4 cessna's and a glider. Transient general aviation are small aircraft that fly in for the day. There's no FBO on the field, so there's no feul or maintenance, so 9% is surprising in itself.
Here's the best though; there is a golfcourse nearby that "can be mistaken for airport." Also, there is wildlife "on and in vicinity of airport." Oh man, and you thought hitting a deer with your car sucked!
Trees on both sides of runway means, your plane better be small!
