No. I'm actually surprised Soriano wasn't placed on waivers sooner, actually. Soriano's defense at second, well, sucks, but his bat would more than make up for that. And he could possibly move back to LF whenever Polanco returns, if he can before the Tigers are done playing, that is. It'd be pretty tough to work out a deal for Soriano at this point though, but you never know.
There are good possible replacements out there (Neifi Perez is not one of them), so a deal in the near future for somebody wouldn't be surprising.
