I start the second round of the playoffs tomorrow. My opponent has nine hitters going tomorrow and I only have six. There is a 40 move max and I only have nine moves left. Do I use a move(s) to pick up a hitter or just sweat it through tomorrow hoping the other guy doesn't have a huge offensive day?
Tough call. Is there anyone availiable who plays tomorrow that would help? Also, who would you have to cut to make the roster space? I'd probably stand pat, but if there's a smart move to make, I wouldn't hesitate to do it.

Castilla has been hitting well, and he plays for the Braves, so I'd highly consider grabbing him. What you don't want to do is lose this week and have 9 moves that you didn't use. How many more weeks are the playoffs???

Good call. It's not the time to hold anything back. You might want to consider picking Castilla up. However, if the guy you're dropping is better than Castilla, don't do it.

Exactly. There are no bonus points for having extra moves left when your season is over. Grab Castilla, but don't cut anyone significant for him.

Thanks everyone! But I've decided to not pick up a hitter. If I win this week I would play for the championship and that is two weeks long. I have a pitching advantage over my opponent. He has seven starting pitchers and only one of them is scheduled to start twice this week. I have eight starting pitchers and three of them are starting twice this week. I'm also considering picking Kevin Correia on Tuesday. My oppoenent only has six moves left so he has to be careful.

I am hoping some of his players will take a day off today. He has two catchers in his lineup so that is a possibility.

Yea, that's not too bad.
