You'd be wrong about that. Soriano has expressed that he wants to continue to play 2B on whichever team he signs with. I believe he'll have a minimal number of games at 2B put into his contract.
I think he'd prefer to play for 2B but at this point, I don't think he care one way or the other. I think Sorieno is a good player to have. I don't know why the Mets fans are bitching before you even get him. Can you imagine a team with Reyes, Beltran and Sorieno. I mean screw the defense. If Mets can get him and Zito. I would have call that a good off season and put him as the favorite for next year.
