Looks like Holliday might be a game time decision... I'm leaning toward benching him again... Anyone else hear anything?
USA Today:
New York's Steve Trachsel (11-5, 4.84 ERA) will be taking the mound exactly three years after throwing a one-hitter against Colorado at Shea Stadium. The only hit came in the sixth inning from opposing pitcher Chin-hui Tsao.
The veteran right-hander hasn't faced the Rockies since that 8-0 win. He is 8-6 with a 4.55 ERA in 20 career appearances against them. Trachsel is 9-1 over his last 12 starts, and the Mets have won his last three outings as he's gone 2-0 with a 3.00 ERA.
He has never faced Rockies leading hitter Matt Holliday, and it remains uncertain if he will see him Friday. Holliday has missed the last three games with a sore wrist, though he did throw before Thursday's game.
''I felt pretty good,'' said Holliday, batting .327 with 22 homers and 71 RBIs.
