Anyone know anything on Mare Lowe???

17.2 scoreless innings pitched to start a career is pretty impressive to start a career. I really know nothing about this guy, I've only seen him pitch twice in their series against the Yankees, and he looked pretty good

His line so far this year:

0.00 ERA, 0.85 WHIP, 20 K's and a .143 BAA....all in 17.2 IP's

Has anyone ever even heard of this guy??
go 49ers!!!!!

Do you mean this guy from Seatle?

2006 23 MAJ SEA 12 0 0 15.7 8 0 0 7 18 1.45 1 0 0 .00 .957

This is the most recent word on him from rotowire:

Lowe reported no troubles with his elbow after pitching for the first time in a week Saturday, the Seattle Times reports. Lowe walked one and struck out one in one inning. He has yet to allow a run in 15.2 innings. Looks like his elbow just got a little tired.

Help me out here? : http://www.fantasybaseballcafe.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=2321827#2321827

Lowe's story is pretty ho-hum... I believe he had arm problems in previous years, was switched to relief this year, pitched really well in A and AA, then called up to the majors, and hasn't looked back since. Is he pitching over his head? probably. Is he worth using in holds leagues or as a reliever? yes

Yup, he looks like a pretty good MR. He filled in at the setup role while Rafael Soriano was out, he should still get some holds and provide solid ERA, WHIP, and K/9 the rest of the way.
