I need to pcik 7 for the WS this week

I can't trust Gobble and I hope that you get the Batista of the whole season and not last start. 8-o

looks good to me but I may actually go with Gobble against Tigers over Franklin against Texas :-)

I'd consider starting Gobble over Franklin. The Texas start could be a killer. Also, possibly Izzy over Franklin if you don't trust Gobble.

I didn't see Izzy down there but I might shy away from starting 4 SP's and 3 RP's.

Well, he said it's a points league, so a lot of it depends on how many points a save is worth. If a save is equal to a win, then I'd definitely start all 3 closers. Just depends on the scoring system. Even if a save is worth 1/2 of what a win is worth, a closer can get 3-4 saves in a good week. That would be equal to 1 1/2 to 2 wins. Just some food for thought. ;-)

I'm considering Gobble and Franklin right now as well. Can't decide which 2-start pitcher to go with this week. "Pick your poison" is what my dad always said...

"Pick your poison" is correct.

Against the many opinions on this board against Gobble, I've decided that most any pitcher (save Shields and Lee) with starts against the inept Indians and Tigers offenses should deserve a start. I just didn't like Franklin against Texas with the way the M's offense is playing... We'll see. :-?
