Like everyone else I get disappointed when one of my starting pitchers does poorly. But, what Wade Miller put up today is so sickening I just have to vent. This complete idiot starts the fourt inning... gives up a hit... next hitter sacrafices him over (pitcher batting)... then it gets great. I mean just (_#@*(_#*$ great!!!
Wade hits some knucklehead (first pitch)
Wade hits the next batter (first pitch).
Wade doesn't hit the next batter (thank goodness)... he just walks him on four pitches.
Wade gets to the next batter and throw two more balls before the manager pulls him.
WTF!!!! This guy is major leaguer???? He gets paid to do this???? I have Harden and he is getting rocked lately, but at least he is "getting" rocked not giving it away.
It would have better if he gave up two hits, walked a guy and gave up a grand slam. But to do it like this (especially when HOU is in the thick of things)?
Not sure what was wrong with Miller today. You're not the only one who took the hit though.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
I also started Miller, but I am happy that at least Jimy Williams has a very itchy trigger finger on yanking starters, because it limits the damage. He brought in a reliever with the bases loaded, the reliever got out of it and Miller only got charged with 3 runs. If he was playing for LaRussa or Baker, he'd probably be left out there until he lets in 10 or so runs.
Well, if he was playing for LaRussa, even if he did get pulled, he would have definitely been changed the 3 runs that were on base, and his chance of getting a no-decision would have been wiped out by the next 10 runs the Cardinal bullpen gave up.

Actually if he played for LaRussa he would have thrown 150 pitches in 5 innings, and then when the game was in the 16th inning(after the bullpen gave up 15 runs in the bottom of the 9th), he'd have Miller change Jerseys and put him on the mound to try and get the save...

Is he having an off year or is it more?
Could be a nice bargain come draft day.
