Fabio Castro is a LH relief pitcher on Philadelphia's major league roster. He is only 21 years old but as a rule 5 player can be sent down this year by the Phillies unless they want to lose him.
I wonder where people think he will end up starting in 2007. Could he possibly start the year in the majors? I doubt it, but am curious on your thoughts. If I had to guess I would say AA.
Right now, while taking a roster space, he gets to pitch mop up duty only, but has been good. Since 6/30, he has 6 apperances, 10.1 innings, NO runs, 3 hits, 2 walks, 4 K.
I think he has real long term potential, even if he is short. (5'6"
