.280 AVG, 9 HRs and 36 RBIs?! Who expected this off his shoulder injury?
I'm glad I picked him up and stashed him on the DL for a month, it's definitely been worth it.
Not bad at all. The trade to get Brian Giles certainly helped Nevin as well.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

Don't forget an improving and still very young Burroughs (who's hitting .300 this year). Kotsay should also play better next year, he's hit .25 points lower this year than he did the past two years.
The Padres should have a nasty offense next year. If they can pick up an experienced pitcher to help the young arms, they could definitely make a run for the AL West.

The Pads are certainly getting better. Nice to see that.

what about their pitching?
Eaton/Lawrence/Peavy are not bad. They could use a solid #1 guy. If they sign a #1 starter in the offseason, I think they have a very good chance next year.

Nevin is batting .280/.330/.486. The average is ok, the OBP is poor, and the slugging percentage is just below average for an outfielder. Nevin is doing just average so far.
