I know the guy is playing with some injuries, but why don't Oakland give him a DL stint to completely heal up? Not like his low .300 OBP in the last month is helping the Oakland team? This along with Edwin Encarnacion swiching around from being benched to hitting cleanup every other day are 2 things I don't understand. Is he going to turn it around this year or will this year just be one of those years that you forgot. He has a horrible line right now, and he started the season pretty hot I remembered. Sigh, meanwhile, I'm starting Edwin Encarnacion over him.
Are you interested in joining a 28 teams dynasty league? If so, PM me.

1. Chavez's injuries make him a liability at the plate which is why he asked to be moved to 9th. He said it hurts to swing that bat. Though, even with his injuries he's still the best defensive 3B in baseball and is there for his defense. If the A's weren't still in contention he'd be on the DL and would probably be recovering from surgery right now. Instead he's being a gamer and doing all he can to help the A's win.
2. Edwin has been plauged with a bad ankle for much of the season. He's been playing very well of late (2 HR game & GW RBI in last 2 games) and even his defense has gotten better recently. Made a great play today in fact. Edwin's playing time I thnk will be dictated by the matchups they are playing and his health which apparently is increasing everyday.
Chavez is hurt and should be DL'ed. The A's I guess feel they have nothing to lose with him out there as they have no one else and he is a gold glove fielder. Chavez was cut some time ago in most of my mixed leagues. No one believes he is going to recover this season.
