Troy Glaus?

Sportsline's gamecenter says he was taken out after 2 ABs. Anyone got any preliminary info? He's my 3B and I'm going up against the league leader next week (I'm 2nd right now).

Conflicting reports thus far!

Rotoworld says its and apparent knee injury and yahoo just posted a foot injury....

Earlier in the year he swung hard and missed a pitched and strained a back muscle...

This guy swings so hard that he hurts himself...Crazy!

Any more info? If he'll be back after the off day, I'll start him... Otherwise, it's Beltre or DeRosa, so I really would like to know what's going on.

i would go else where until you see him play, they also said he was a risky start.


Troy Glaus left Sunday's game at Minnesota after the fourth inning with an injured knee. Glaus injured the knee swinging and missing at Brad Radke's fastball. Toronto did not say which knee he injured. "His whole body has been hurting the past couple of nights," Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said.



This obviously makes him a risky start for the upcoming scoring period. Hopefully the Blue Jays announce more information before lineup deadlines.

The Blue Jays have a day off today. I bet he'll be back tomorrow. Maybe Gibbons will give him an extra day off and he'll play on Wednesday. I can't really see him being sat for much longer if it's not a serious injury.

The Jays have got an easier schedule over the next couple of weeks (TB, BAL, OAK, KC, CLE) and will need to continue the success they had in the Minnesota series over the weekend.

They still have an outside shot of contending for the division/wild card. If they're serious about it, they need to make a run now. Once September hits, their schedule gets a lot tougher. In fact, they finish the season with 13 games against BOS, NYY and DET. Those games aren't the ones in which you want to be making up the ground!

They've been riding Glaus for the last few weeks. Without him, their order is a lot thinner. They need him back now so I think we'll see him back ASAP.

Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said Troy Glaus left yesterday's game because "everything was barking on him," according to the Toronto Sun. Glaus has chronic knee problems and his back flares up from time to time. Gibbons said he expected Glaus to return to action after today's day off.
