Anyone know how games back is calculated?

I'm in 1st place in my H2H money league and we hold our league on Yahoo, but we don't have a playoff system, ala Yahoo. Therefore, the standings and games back I'm assuming won't be updated after the week since Yahoo now recognizes our league as being in the playoffs.

Since I'm in 1st and not sure how the whole games back thing is calculated I was wondering if anyone here knew because I'm not sure the commish does either. Thanks!

It's the difference in total wins

well in the majors, it's difference of wins+difference of losses /2.

so, if 2 teams were like this:

77-40
75-41

2(difference of wins) plus 1(difference of losses) divided by 2= 1.5 games back.

Sorry, I'm a blockhead when it comes to math, guess thats why I went to school for journalism.

My record is 149-100-15 and the 2nd place guy is 149-106-9. I'm 3 games up on him it says but we both have the same number of wins, 149. Unless you mean something else by total wins?

Ties do not factor into the equation when calculating games back.

The championship is generally given to the team with the best winning percentage. Games back just gives an idea of the number of wins and losses needed to catch the front-runner.

difference in loss ->6
added together divided by 2 -> 3 games up..
