Daisuke Matsuzaka.
kid's a gem out in japan, but japanese pitchers don't have much luck over here.

The only starter I can think of that came over before he was 30 was Nomo. Matsuzaka is much younger and won't rely on that silly tornado windup to fool hitters his 1st couple of years. I think he'll be very good.

Ishii was 29 when he played for the Dodgers....had an awesome 1st half until he got drilled in the head..

there were a few notable ones, nomo, ishii, irabu, tadano


all i'm saying is that i wouldn't put too much stock in him.

Don't forget about Sasaki from Seattle

He was a very good closer for a few years.

Its just unfortunate we won't see most Japanese and Korean pitchers in their primes (early-mid 20's).
