Does Toronto have a 6 pitcher rotation?

Postby dundeeslugger » Fri Aug 11, 2006 12:34 pm

Toronto has Monday off next week and Halladay pitches on Tuesday which should mean a Sunday start as well but they have him pitching the following Monday instead.

what's up with this, I was hoping to have his 2 starts for the first week of the playoffs.

Where did you hear Halladay was not making his start next Sunday?

I'm not saying you are wrong cuz it is possible that they will give Shaun Marcum the start on Sunday and Halladay on Monday. The thing is that Chacin is supposed to re-join the rotation on Saturday (Aug -19), the day Marcum was supposed to start. The Jays could very well move Marcum up a day and start him on Friday since he will be pitching this Sunday and don't start Downs (or whoever they plan on starting that day) at all which would then give Halladay his Sunday start.

pfffttt.. the Jays barely have a 3-pitcher rotation, much less 6..
You've got a diamond, You've got nine men
You've got a hat and a bat, And that's not all..

I saw it in my cbssportsline league lineup page. They have a marker to tell you when a pitcher pitches and Halladay is marked for Monday not Sunday.
