Did you miss that tha Yanks got swept by the Royals last year? And I believe they lost the season series to TB :-D

We'll take 2 out of 3 from Balt and 3 out of 5 from the Yanks ;-D

Unfaithfuls. This is the first real skid they've hit all year. It happens to every team. We're not getting blown out. There's still just under 50 games left to be played this year. I'm not worried at all. The best thing to happen is play so many top contenders at the end of the season.

Pitching has been a big concern lately. However, I think the sox will turn it around. And I disagree with the comment with buying a WS Championship. The sox traded away probably the most beloved sox player in years to get some good mid-tier players that we needed in '04. And they didn't mortgage the farm to do it. I hardly think you can say they bought a WS for signing Schilling that year.

How? Both teams won in Detroit. Boston won at Comiskey, and whilst the Yankees lost there, they did sweep the Wrong Sox at home. Then there's the AL West winners, who will have the worst record of any team in the postseason. If, heaven forbid, I were a Yankee fan, I wouldn't be unduly scared of any of that lot.

Agreed. Detroit's record against the 'Yanks and 'Sox is not all that sterling. The White Sox are no better than either team and Oakland is worse.

Both AL East team can very easily represent the AL in the World Series.

Am I losing faith? No. I am a diehard Sox fan. However, do I beleive they have much of a shot this year? No. Losing the faith is a little strong.

Boston will be watching the playoffs from home this year. ;-D :-D

The Tigers will get the Wild Card spot, the Yankees will win the East.

Comiskey Park closed in 1990.

New Comiskey Park's last year was 2002.

Why are you bringing up the past? We're talking about THIS season.

Hey, Ted Williams hit a home run at Comiskey. :-B :-D ;-)

first of all i'd like to say i personally hate the red sox. I hate red sox nation. I hate everything it stands for and everyone who claims to be in red sox nation....with that being said...

you can post all the stats you want to make yourself feel good either way but the bottom line is you never ever ever lose faith in your team. Its just not how it works. You never turn on your team, you always stick with them. I'm an orioles fan and despite poor management and what like 9 straight season under .500 i still am a loyal fan. Sometimes you have to forget about winning and losing and remember that baseball is a game...and you stick by your team ;-D
