Prior out after 3 innings?

Postby stlcardsfan » Thu Aug 10, 2006 3:52 pm

Any idea why Prior got pulled after only 3 IP today? Was it just because he was getting shelled or is he hurt again (big shock)?

I haven't seen anything about an injury...he was just generally bad.

no injury....just struggled locating the fastball inside early on, and couldn't make it through 4 innings. The first inning he had absolutely no control with anything but the straight change.

I'm asking the same question (in the Draft, Trade, Keeper, etc. Forum). His performance today is really the last straw.

This guy has burned me BAD! So, I am seriously thinking about cutting him, especially if I can get the guy who's on waivers right now. And, I'm talking about Garza.

So Baseball Cafe...what do you think? Time to dump Prior? Let's hear it.

I'm giving him just one more chance. If he has similar or mediocre results, I'll drop him.

The Cubs should just let Prior rest until next year. There's no sense in pitching Prior and have a chance for him to get seriously hurt. If I were you guys I'd drop him for a decent FA P.

that's crap. i would let him pitch his problems out. what's to gain by putting him on the DL if there is no actual problem? now, if he actually does have an injury, yes sit him. however i think most of his problems are mental and he needs to work them out
