He's been overshawdowed by the great Papi, however you cannot ignore the .322 ave, 32 HR, 91 RBI and much improved Defense.. With a solid Aug & Sept.. He could snag it from Papi.. On pace for a .320, 40+ HR, 120+ RBI season.. Nice

HR totals have the greatest influence on determining the MVP. Unless Manny goes on a HR tear and Papi drops off then I can't see how Manny could win it.

Yes because Ortiz would get walked a lot more without Manny protecting him.

I think Ortiz and Manny will cancel each other out. Knowing the writers in this country, Jeter will probably win an undeserved MVP.

Manny IS a slightly better hitter than Ortiz, but not nearly as likeable.
