Buy low on Weaver if you can

Postby johnsamo » Tue Aug 08, 2006 9:36 pm

His box score was ugly but it was largely Scioscia's fault for not pulling him when he was obviously tired and not locating. Till the last 3 batters, he was dealing exactly like he has been all year. If you don't have him, try and buy low now, this was Weaver doing great then pitching past his fatigue point for no other reason than Scioscia got lazy and hoped he'd get lucky and get a cheap 3rd out, instead Weaver gave up 3 hits when he should've been sitting on the pine watching Donnelly pitch.

Well I get the gist of what you are saying but he didn't necessarily tank it, so not sure how one can really "buy low" after a mediocre start like that, he was 1 batter and 1 run away from the highly coveted "quality start."

I agree. I wouldn't sell him.. because he either turns it back up or you end up selling him way to low

Tell me about it, you think you get enough pitching depth that you can finally afford to trade off a little and then suddenly.......

Thats a nice trade I think for Weaver - I may try a similar trade to get Weaver in the one league that I do not own him - may try a little lower first though.........
Help me out here? : http://www.fantasybaseballcafe.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=2321827#2321827

Oh, and for the record...I'm not selling Weaver low. But I would trade Weaver for Jones! ;-D
