Don't know. Wondering the same thing, why would they pinch hit for Thomas when every time he is at bat, he has the possibility of producing.

Definitely saving him, we know how injury prone he is nowadays; also I'd bet they are trying to up Thomas's AVG when it makes sense. Was horrible before the break. He's really put the Hurt back in his name since then. If the team is up and he has gotten his 2-3 hits, they seem to be pulling him quite a bit.

Sorry, but this isn't completely true. The previous two days they had him running the bases in the 8th and 9th inning when they had the lead in seattle. Now I will concure that they SHOULD be pulling him in the eight and ninth innings and let him get his rest when they can. This day he was simply "feeling ill". Nothing to worry about. He has been on fire lately though. The power has been there all year but he's hitting singles now as well which is raising the batting average.
