for this year Pence, talks are its looking like Pence will be called up before then end of the 2006 season, hell with the .300 ave, 20 homers and 71 rbi in double-a houston really can't pass on this guy...but i really like hughes just cuz hes going to be real good, and coming up with the yanks powerful offense will help him alot...harder to find great SP prospects they will happen then batters...IMO

Not to close for me, I'd easily take Hughes in a dynasty. Pence could be pretty solid, but his stats will be easier to find ... if Hughes developes the way he should his stats will be much harder to replace.

hughes has the higher upside, more potential for better stats, its just that i think Pence will put up stats sooner...but hughes will be the better pick once they are both playing

It's not even close. Hughes, by far. He has ace potential, whereas Pence will be nothing more than a third OF, never a star.

Ok....I am not happy how one sided it is for Hughes...He is a top prospect on the best Team the Yankess....So, they need pitching, and he foots the bill....but Pence is nothing to balk at....the guy is mashing, and is a complete gamer.....I own Pence in my dynasty...I would love to have Hughes....the bottom line is they are both minor leaguers and it is a coin flip who will develop more....I like Hunter Pence....
