After Pujols/Carpenter the fantasy impact of the Cards is not as much as some other teams, IMO.

So would you agree that the angels may be the best bet of the available teams?

Ehh... At a quick glance I'd say so. *wracks brain* The White Sox aren't too bad, either...

i agree, it definitely isnt. i kind of like the angels in that it gives you power (vlad), steals (figs), saves (k-rod) and a solid starter. thats pretty well rounded. i'm guessing drafting steals is going to be fairly tough.

getting pujols would be tempting to me though. if i did the cards i'd take pujols, carp, rolen, izzy (nothing to get excited about but reliably among the league leaders in saves) and probably reyes. odds are you wouldnt keep izzy/reyes in the following years, but that team could still produce now and you'd have pujols/carp for the future. you are only keeping 5 here and i am under the impression you dont have to keep the original five. so i wouldnt really worry about having a weak 4th/5th. you try to find your 4th/5th keeper in the draft or trades.

The LAA aren't bad, but I think I'd go with CLE

Hafner
Sizemore
CC
V-Mart
Carmona

Okay instead of Carmona you can take Andy Marte.

Or if you are a little more of a risk taker, MIL

Fielder
Weeks
Capuano
Sheets
Hall

I'd also go with Cleveland.

Hafner
V-Mart
Sizemore

then two of these guys:
Peralta, Marte, Sabathia, Sowers

That's some serious high risk/high reward talent right there. If Sheets is healthy and Hall keeps playing like he does Milwaukee might have the best top 5 keepers of what's left.
