An MRI revealed inflammation in Hideo Nomo's rotator cuff, but he expects to start Tuesday.
Nomo isn't feeling any pain, but he hasn't been sharp his last couple of outings. Still, the Dodgers can't afford to rest him. You'll need to have a very good alternative to consider benching Nomo.
Guess we'll just have to see how he does in his next start. Thanks for the update Jdh.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
True. Most likely I'll bench him, sit back, have a few silver bullets, and see how it turns out. Lol.

Well, it could not even be a serious injury. It could just be that he is on pace to throw way more innings than he ever has in his career.
TSN is now reporting that they have pushed Nomo's start back to Tuesday. That's not necessarily a bad thing for fantasy owners, because he now starts in Arizona instead of in Colorado.
pitch counts are usally used to find out when a pitcher starts to do bad. So lets say Bonderman does well after 50 pitches and has a 4.00 era but after 60 pitches his era is up to 15.. (hehe ). well then in his next start the tigers will keep an eye on that pitch count and when it gets up to 50, they might pull him or say "if a batter gets on, your out"... you know...
Thats what is what i was told... Don't know if it is right.

and then twice next week..........
YES yes ..yes yes eys ...
1st week of playoffs ... what an emotional rush JDH ... from long faces to elation......Please stop..
Well pitch counts are generally thought to be more important for young pitchers like Prior, or pitchers coming off serious injuries (Wood, Brown, Morris, etc.). For guys like Mussina who have proven extremely durable, I don't think it's as much of a concern. Nomo is 34 and has been very durable in his career, so this might not be a big deal.
