The ESPN PlayerRater rankings are decent - they are based on real stats/points and you can sort/filter many different ways.

CBS releases one every week per position, but it's ridiculously inaccurate. It's not based on any stats, rather just on the CBS experts' votes. Some players on some weeks are not even included, and you get the feeling that a lot of those rankings are based on reputation and not on this year's performance, and certainly not on recent play or streaks.

For example, ESPN ranks Scott Olsen and Roy Oswalt as the 32nd and 33rd rated SPs, respectively, based on this year's performance. CBS, meanwhile, has Oswalt at 9th and Olsen at 65th.

I don't know of any more free ones, so if anyone else does, please mention.

CBS actually has one similar to ESPN that is much better than the "fantasy" one by CBS mentioned above. I agree - the fantasy experts positional rankings can be WAY off. Here's the one that's a little more "statistically" based:

i found baseball monster's player rater to be very good. it's not updated very often unfortunately. the same guy did a rater for basketball that was excellent for roto, but he doesn't update the baseball one as often.

This is a bit off-topic---but still a good resource:

THE BASEBALL CUBE is great for checking how guys did in the minors.
It helped me make good decisions this year------

Baseball Monster looks like a nice addition to the "favorites" tab...

Regarding the ESPN Rater, one thing I like (and I see CBS version does not have) is that you can look at it in several scoring systems and look at the season, last 30days, 15days, week etc...
