Matt Cain

Looks good. REAL good.

12 K's in 7 innings with only one BB.

Call me the conductor of the Matt Cain fan club. I'm a believer. He's got nasty stuff, along with a 100 mph heater.

He's like Hamels, minus the injury and fly-off-the-handle-and-punch-a-fan risk. Better control, IMO, too.

So instead of all the praise of Hamels, can we please start to praise this kid? LOL

Bah...I suppose the Hamels praise is okay, but I believe Cain's better and has more upside at this point.

Pitching against the Rockies will make you look real good. Cain has been up and down all year. No surprises there. He's got a lot of potential, just needs to be more consistent.

Since when are the Rockies a poor offensive team? I thought that is the reason they're in contention aside from Jennings and Francis. Atkins, Helton, Hawpe, and Halliday: Sounds scary to me!

its no doubt that cain has great stuff his only problem would be consistency. 1 night head be smoking and the next he'd be so off his game. if he can manage to get his head straight he will be a heck of a pitcher.

the rockies are the 7th worst offense in the league. Who's number 8??? The royal. Yeah the rockies have scored less runs than the royals. Not very scary at all. Anyway Cain has great stuff he just needs to harness it. Hes had really solid outtings this year and then posts a few bad ones. Hes a rookie no doubt lets hope he can put it all together... ;-D

Yes, the Rockies offense is that bad.

Cain's little outing yesterday cost me a point for ERA, one for K's and went from tying wins to losing them in a H2H league.

I hate Cain!

Lol...I didn't lose that much but I he did cost me a tight battle for whip. He would have cost me era too but I'd benched all of my pitchers and therefore missed the Adam Eaton explosion. ;-D
