Heading into Last 1/3... WHIR

Postby TheOther1 » Sun Aug 06, 2006 2:48 pm

I'm in 4th right now, about 5-6 games behind 3rd and about 15 wins out of 1st. Right behind me is a pack of about 3 teams that are only about 2 games behind me. I'm looking to make at least one trade for a big RBI, R, HR production kind of guy, preferably for an OF.

I'm 8th in R's, and 5th in both RBI's and HR's.

What trades, if any, should I attempt to make?

Thanks in advance for your help, leave a link and I'll help in return.

It's a 10 team, 5x5 head to head league.

Here's my team:

C - M. Barrett
1B - A. Pujols
2B - C. Figgins
SS - D. Jeter
3B - H. Blalock
OF - C. Crisp
OF - V. Wells
OF - K. Griffey Jr.
Util - M. Teixeira
B - M. Cuddyer

and my bullpen:
SP
B. Sheets
A. Burnett
S. Kazmir
Jo. Johnson
S. Olsen
N. Robertson
Jer. Weaver

RP
M. Rivera
J. Nathan

P
A. Otsuka
J. Borowski
S. McClung

I guess I'm figuring I can possibly afford to trade a reliever for a big OFer, possibly packaged with another OF.
I offered M. Rivera for M. Cabrera this week but it was barely turned down.

Again, thanks, and leave a link!

First, thanks for your help with my post

You could trade relievers for a bat like youve beeen trying to do or... what you could also try is move Blalock for a better 3B. Blalock has a storied history of dying in the second half.

Maybe see about getting Zimmerman.

Or a multi- player deal with Tex included with a reliever. or Blalock. Pujols got you covered at 1B You should be able to swing a Blalock/ Tex deal for 2 very solid bats (one 3B and the other used for U)

You do have alot of trading options to wotk with.
