Most fragile pitcher...

After seeing Sheets go down tonight, I got to thinking...

Of all the "elite" pitchers (Prior, Sheets, Harden, ect...) who is the most fragile or injury-prone? All of the above-mentioned guys would be second round picks if healthy, but something tells me nobody is touching them with a 10-foot pole in next year's draft.

This is easy. Kerry Wood.

No one else comes close. C'mon now.

I don't really consider Wood an elite pitcher, he's never even won 15 games (when he was healthy). I'd go with Prior just because it's been so ongoing for the past 3 years.

Then again, you said "elite." Kerry Wood is no longer elite. But if healthy, he could be a 2nd rounder. I don't think we'll ever see that though.

Upside, it looks like Sheets just strained a muscle in his chest. I don't think this is an injury that will hamper him much. That being said, it will probably lead to something more hindering. I actually own Harden & Sheets in my dynasty team...though I'm still keeping pace thankfully.

Prior. He's been a mess for 3 years now. I don't know if it's bad luck or what, but he can't stay healthy.

Prior got a win tonight. Wood is so banged up I doubt he can even play golf right now.

I don't count Wood as elite. I wouldn't want him on my team even when he's off the DL.

1. Prior

2. Harden
3. Sheets

2 and 3 are pretty close though.
