Any SB sleepers out there?

Postby Vitreous » Sat Aug 05, 2006 12:53 pm

I'm in a deep league that has over 500 players, including many of the top prospects, so nothing much is left.

I'm battling for 1st place and the area where I can make the biggest gain is in SB, if I can find a sleeper.

I'm looking for anyone that may be called up or has been recently called up and will play enough to generate 1 SB for every 5 games the team plays.

Any thoughts?

Willy Taveras, OF, Houston Astros
Chris Duffy, OF, Pittsburgh Pirates
BJ Upton, 3B/SS, Tampa Bay Devil Rays
Shin-Soo Choo, OF, Cleveland Indians
Jason Repko, OF, LA Dodgers
Maicer Izturis, 3B/SS, LA Angels
Nelson Cruz, OF, Texas Rangers
Esteban German, 2B/3B/OF, Kansas City Royals
Royce Clayton, SS, Cincinnati Reds
Luis Castillo, 2B, Minnesota Twins
Hector Luna, 2B/SS/OF, Cleveland Indians
Angel Pagan, OF, Chicago Cubs

Obviously, Taveras is the top option, but I'm doubting he's available. The same goes for Upton.

Given your situation, Duffy could be a prime pick-up. He just returned to the lineup on August 1st (had been out since May 14), and in 18 at-bats since, has 3 swipes.

Gathright, Amezaga, Carroll, Sullivan and Luna off the top of my head...not sure if any of them are FA in your league though.
