But it caused me to think of just how gay america is becoming...
- queer eye for the straight guy
- mtv is filled with homos
- brokeback mountain
- metros... theyre are some people who are flamboyantly gay but claim to be metro.. just come out of the closet
- gay bars
- boy bands
- myspace- so many homosexuals on that site its kinda freaky
Im sure theres more and I know ill think of some later.. feel free to post anything you want to also..
You might want to rephrase some of those things a little. Anyway, I've read that as many as 1 out of every 10 people are gay. That figure might be a little high (and I'm not sure it's really as black and white as just being gay or straight anyway), but the point is that some acknowledgement of homosexuality in American culture shouldn't really be that surprising.
As for Talladega Nights, I thought it was funny, but I honestly didn't understand the point of the emphasis on the guy's homosexuality. It didn't really seem funny, and if it was trying to make a statement in one direction or the other, I couldn't tell which one. I agree that that aspect of the movie was weird and a little confusing.
